By using SimpleMapLab (simplemaplab.com), you agree to these terms. If you disagree, please do not use the site.

1. Free use

All tools and downloads on SimpleMapLab are provided free of charge. You may use them for personal, educational, and commercial purposes without paying a fee or creating an account.

2. Blank map license

All blank maps are released under Creative Commons CC0 (public domain). You may copy, modify, distribute, and use them — including for commercial purposes — without attribution. Attribution is appreciated but not required.

The underlying boundary data comes from public-domain sources:

• US boundaries: US Census Bureau TIGER/Line
• World boundaries: Natural Earth (public domain)

3. Tool output

Results produced by our tools (distances, areas, drive times, coordinates, elevations, etc.) are generated from open-source data and algorithms. You may use these results in any project. We make no guarantee of accuracy — see the Disclaimer for details.

4. No warranty

SimpleMapLab is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that tools will be available at all times, that data will be accurate, or that the site will be free of errors. See our full Disclaimer.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts to make excessive requests to the site or its upstream APIs
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose
• Misrepresent SimpleMapLab data as coming from an authoritative government source

6. Third-party services

Our tools connect to third-party services (OpenFreeMap, Photon, Nominatim, Valhalla, Open-Meteo) that have their own terms and usage policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of these services. See our Methodology page for the full list of data sources.

7. Intellectual property

The SimpleMapLab name, logo, and website design are proprietary. The tools' source code, underlying open-source libraries, and public-domain datasets are governed by their respective licenses (MIT, ODbL, CC0, etc.).

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SimpleMapLab shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, its tools, or the data they produce. This includes but is not limited to decisions based on distance calculations, drive time estimates, population data, or map boundary accuracy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
